My First Finish of 2017
Well I have my first finish of the year! It’s not a big finish but at least it can be marked off the list! Yippee! One of my goals for the year is to make a pillow to match every quilt I make. It’s my way of using those scraps instead of just putting more in my scrap bin. Which is way out of control, but I’ll get to that another time!
This pillow was made from the scraps I pulled out of my scrap bin. While it’s not an exact match to the quilt it pulls in with the same scrappy mix of colors. And it was actually fun to revisit making these zigs and zags. One of the more time-consuming quilts I have ever made but still fun. In the future I would like to do this in rainbow colors. We will see if I can squeeze that in this year.
This pillow measures 16×16 and it’s an envelope style pillow case. I found as many scraps as I could of each of the colors. Black, gray, white, sage green and mustard yellow. It is quilted with white thread. The back and binding are a sage green Coma Fabric by Zen Chic.
This is on my Q1 list for the 2017 FAL– #1 of the quarter
This one is listed in my Etsy shop.
